Department: Front Office
Position: Guest Service Agent/Bellperson (FT)
Job Duties: Responsible for assisting guests with luggage, answering general questions such as providing directions and directing guests to hotel amenities. Must also be able to help with guest shuttle service and parking/retrieving guest cars.
Qualifications: Minimum 6+ months of customer service experience required. Must have or be able to obtain a valid drivers license before start of employment. Must be available AM/PM shifts including weekends/holidays. Candidate must have good commincation skills, knowledge of the Portland/Metro area and a positive, enthusiastic customer service skill set. Must actively support the hotel’s environmentally responsible business practices and our Declaration of Excellence.
Position: Prep Cook (FT)
Job Duties: Complete banquet/kitchen prep functions and produce/maintain a quality food product. Must use proper food handling and storage techniques and follow all kitchen sanitation standards. Position involves banquet prep, commissary support and when needed line cook support.
Qualifications: At least 6 months of kitchen (prep/cook/school) experience required, 1 year preferred. Must be able to work a flexible AM and/or PM shift with minimal schedule restrictions including weekends/holidays, or as needed to meet business demands. A valid Food Handler's Card is required at start of employment. Good communication skills are a must along with hospitality focused qualities and a courteous demeanor. Must actively support the hotel’s environmentally responsible business practices and embrace our Declaration of Excellence.
Position: Dishwasher (FT)
Job Duties: Produce and maintain high sanitation levels in the kitchen and surrounding areas.
Qualifications: Must help company comply with our green standards initiative including sorting garbage and removing all recyclables from waste stream. Must be able to operate a dish machine, restock supplies for the restaurants and help out in production when necessary. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work safely and independently. Hold strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and high standards/work ethic. Must be available for both AM and PM shifts any day of the week. Must have valid Food Handler's card before start of employment. Must have hospitality focused qualities and courteous demeanor. Position: Housekeeping Night Lobby Attendant (FT)
Job Duties: Responsible for cleaning lobby and other public and business areas of the hotel at night.
Qualifications: Must have solid communication skills. Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs. and be able to push a 200 lb. cart. Must have hospitality-focused qualities and a courteous demeanor, along with strong customer service orientation. Candidates must have weekday/weekend/holiday availability with minimal schedule restrictions and be available for shifts between the hours of 3pm to 12:00am or as necessary to meet business demands. Previous housekeeping, janitorial, night lobby, and/or hotel experience may be helpful though not required. Must be able to support the hotel's environmentally responsible business practices and embrace our Declaration of Excellence.
Position: Director of Restaurants (FT)
Job Duties: Administers, directs and controls the smooth, friendly and efficient operation of the restaurant, in room dining and coffee bar disciplines.
Qualifications: Minimum four (4) years restaurant leadership, food service & training experience. Must be available 7 days a week, as needed, generally between 5:30am & Midnight. Proven leadership, teambuilding skills and a positive/productive/fresh/and enthusiastic attitude needed. Expectation of candidate would be foucsed on revenue generation, growth of service staff and ensuring dining experiences meet and exeed our valued guest's expectations. Candidate for this position must feel comfortable ensuring dining outlets are in compliance with health department standards and have solid knowledge of, and be able to promote job specific safety standards. Must have valid Food Handler's and OLCC cards prior to start of employment. Must have hospitality-focused qualities and a courteous demeanor. Must actively support the hotel's environmentally responsible business practices and embrace our Declaration of Excellence.
Position: Restaurant Server (FT)
Job Duties: To serve food and beverage to customers while providing courteous, professional, efficient service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Qualifications: 2+ years prior serving experience required. Must have ability to perform duties effectively in a fast-paced environment, be multi-task oriented, have professional appearance, and a positive attitude. Must be flexible and willing to cross train in other areas of the restaurant. Valid Food Handler & OLCC cards required before start of employment. Must be available to be scheduled any day of the week for various shifts (coming in as early as 6am and leaving as late as 12am, or as necessary to meet business demands), including holidays and weekends. Must have hospitality-focused qualities and a courteous demeanor. Must be willing to support the hotel’s environmentally responsible business practices as well as embrace our Declaration of Excellence.
Position: Mechanic (FT)
Job Duties: To repair and maintain the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems as well as the physical features of the hotel and grounds.
Qualifications: Must have basic electric, mechanical, plumbing, and construction skills including drywall and painting. Must have good English communication skills. Must be able to work an AM shift (7:00am - 3:30pm) including weekends/holidays, with minimal schedule restrictions. Must have hospitality-focused qualities and a courteous demeanor. Must be willing to actively support the hotel’s environmentally responsible business practices and embrace our Declaration of Excellence.
Position: Server(s) (PT)
Job Duties: Responsible for serving food and beverages in a professional manner at assigned banquet functions.
Qualifications: Must be able to stand and walk for varying lengths of time, sometimes for long periods. Ability to lift and carry very large trays up to thirty (30) pounds above shoulder, with frequent twisting, bending, lifting, and reaching. Position requires solid oral communication and customer service skills to answer questions and provide information to various guests. Must also have hospitality-focused qualities and a courteous demeanor. Must have a valid Food Handler's and OLCC card before start of employment. Previous food service experience may be helpful though not required. Position requires weekends and holdiays and flexiblity in scheduling to include availability for a minimum of 4 shifts per week. Shifts will be variable in nature (ie; 6am-10am, 10am-2pm, 4pm-10pm, and 5pm-12am) or as necessary to meet business demands. Must be willing to actively support the hotel’s environmentally responsible business practices and embrace our Declaration of Excellence.
