Department: Executive Office
Position: Hotel Manager
Job Duties: Administers, directs, and controls the operation of the Rooms Department, while assisting with the management of all hotel operations. Serves as General Manager in GM's absence. Represents the hotel on business and community Boards.
Qualifications: 5 to 10 years of hotel management experience, with at least 2 years at the Director level required. Must have extensive experience with the Rooms Division (i.e., Housekeeping, Front Office, Reservations) as well as familiarity with Food and Beverage and Sales departments. Must demonstrate outgoing, customer-focused qualities and a courteous demeanor. Motivation of the staff, creativity, and inspiring excellence with the guest experience is also required. Must also formulate new and aggressive revenue generating programs. Must be willing to actively suppport the hotel's environmentally responsible business practices and champion the hotel's Declaration of Excellence. Schedule flexibility is required as AM, PM, and weekend shifts will be necessary, depending on business demands. This position requires travel and candidate must be able to relocate.
Department: Front Office
Position: Guest Service Agent/Bellperson (FT)
Job Duties: Responsible for assisting guests with luggage, answering general questions such as providing directions and directing guests to hotel amenities. Must also be able to help with guest shuttle service and parking/retrieving guest cars.
Qualifications: Minimum 6+ months of customer service experience required. Must have or be able to obtain a valid drivers license before start of employment. Must be available AM/PM shifts including weekends/holidays. Candidate must have good commincation skills, knowledge of the Portland/Metro area and a positive, enthusiastic customer service skill set. Must actively support the hotel’s environmentally responsible business practices and our Declaration of Excellence.
Position: First Cook - Gather (FT)
Job Duties: Responsible for opening of the restaurant, daily specials, ordering of food products and kitchen sanitation.
Qualifications: Must have at least 2-years cooking experience (can include school experience) including line and prep cook experience. Must have banquet experience and be able to multitask. Must have a vast array of knowledge and ability in cooking different cuisines and dishes. Must have hospitality-focused qualities and a courteous demeanor. Valid Food Handler card required before start of employment. Need to have knowledge of serve safe or ASI. Availability should include any day of the week for PM shifts (3:00pm to 11:30pm, or as needed to meet business demands). Must actively support the hotel’s environmentally responsible business practices and our Declaration of Excellence.
Position: PM Lead Line Cook (FT)
Job Duties: Responsible for high volume line cooking, as well as writing fresh specials.
Qualifications: At least 3-years high volume line cook experience required. Must be a self starter and be able to multi task. Must have hospitality-focused qualities and a courteous demeanor. Valid Food Handler card required before start of employment. Must be able to work a flexible schedule PM shift with minimal schedule restrictions including weekends/holidays (typically between 3:00pm and 12:00am, or as needed to meet business demands), and have knowledge of writing and implementing recipe cards. Must actively support the hotel’s environmentally responsible business practices and our Declaration of Excellence.
Position: Line Cook (FT)
Job Duties:To prepare all of the food items for the breakfast/lunch shift while ensuring quality food, nice presentations and good tasting food from every item prepared.
Qualifications: At least 1-year line cook or school experience. Must have hospitality-focused qualities and courteous demeanor. Valid Food Handler Card required before start of employment. Availability should include any day of the week for day shifts (typically from 7:00am to 4:30pm, or as necessary to meet business demands), weekends and holidays a must. Must have hospitality-focused qualities and a courteous demeanor. Must be willing to actively support the hotel’s environmentally responsible business practices.
Position: Housekeeping Manager
Job Duties: Directs and coordinates the cleaning of guest rooms and public areas as efficiently as possible, keeping the highest standards of cleanliness. Provides guidance, reinforces training, and initiates disciplinary action when needed and confers with the Director of Services.
Qualifications: 2+ years of housekeeping supervisory and/or management experience required. Physical skill and exertion (ex: janitorial, warehouse, agricultural or light industrial) with the strength ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and push up to 200 lbs.) required. Must be available to work a flexible schedule ranging from 6AM to 6PM any day of the week including weekends/holidays. Must have hospitality-focused qualities and a courteous demeanor. Hotel housekeeping experience may be helpful, though not required. Must actively support the hotel’s environmentally responsible business practices and our Declaration of Excellence.
